How much time do I have to complete the Online OSHA 10 or 30 Hour Training?

Does it really take 10 hours or 30 Hours?

Yes! The government mandates the time you must spend training. OSHA 10 hour training must take at least 2 days to complete. OSHA 30 hour training takes at least 4 days to complete. You can only train for 7.5 hours each day.

Why do you need to know my address?

You must verify your address before you can begin the course. This is where the OSHA card will be sent.

Will the course timeout if I’m not actively engaged?

Course progress is tracked automatically in the system. When you are done training for the day, simply exit the training by logging out or closing the browser window. Progress will be remembered when you log in again. Your session will time out after 15 minutes of inactivity, as well, and start on the page just prior to where you timed out when you log in again.

What score must I get to pass the quiz and advance in the course?

The training includes an exam after each lesson and a Final Exam. You must score 70% or better to proceed with the course. You will get three (3) attempts for each exam; this includes the Final Exam.

What if I keep failing an exam?

Failing any lesson exam or final exam three (3) times will lock you out of the course. You will be presented with a one-time reset button which will allow you to restart your course from the beginning. If you are locked out a second time you will need to repurchase the course.

Does each lesson within the course have a minimum time requirement?

Each lesson has a minimum time required and the next lesson will not open until time spent has been met in the previous lesson. The training program is designed to ensure you meet all required time. If you complete all required topics and exams under the minimum time you will need to review previous topics.

Can I take all 10 hours in one day?

Students may not take more than 7.5 hours of training in a 24-hour period to complete the course. You will be temporarily locked out if you go beyond the allotted time. The course will be released again in the next 24-hour period. Temporary course lockouts are released at 11:59pm Central Time each day.

When will I get my wallet card?

You’ll get your laminated, official DOL-OSHA card within 4 weeks of successful completion of the final exam and the course evaluation—you must complete the course evaluation to get your card. A printable temporary certificate of completion is available immediately after successfully completing your course.

Can you add my company’s contact information into your course to direct students to contact me instead?

No.  OSHA requires the student be able to reach out to the OSHA-Authorized provider directly for both technical and course-related inquiries.  If our technical support troubleshoots an issue and deems it be a matter for your IT team to solve, the student will be redirected to you for assistance.

Does the student receive any emails from HSI after launching the course?
